Jonathan Éthier is a tax lawyer. He assists his clients at all stages of a complex tax dispute: tax audits, objections, legal proceedings and settlement negotiations with Revenu Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency.
His expertise covers income tax (corporations, individuals, trusts), consumption taxes (GST/QST), source deductions and voluntary disclosures. In 2020, Mtre Éthier was involved in drafting an application for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
He also practices in tax planning involving, for example, corporate reorganization, the acquisition and sale of businesses as well as trust and estate planning.
He is a regular guest speaker and author.
