Accounts Payable Technician

Under the supervision of the Director of the accounting services department, the accounts payable technician is responsible for managing and processing supplier invoices, maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records related to payments. The role also includes responsibilities related to bank reconciliation and managing disbursements in client files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s payment policies.
  • Process invoice payments in a timely manner (checks, bank transfers, etc.).
  • Reconcile supplier account statements and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Complete management of the expense accounts.
  • Complete reconciliations for the company’s credit cards.
  • Record and manage disbursements in client files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers to address inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to verify the accuracy of purchase orders and receipts.

Required Criterias :

Bac accounting with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
DEC accounting with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

Notary Legal Assistant

We currently have a great opportunity for a Notary Legal Assistant.

Main responsibilities:

  • Open files (refinancing, sales, estates, wills, powers of attorney, etc.)
  • Preparing deed, title and index searches
  • Drafting letters and correspondence
  • Conducting will searches
  • Preparing wills and mandates in case of incapacity
  • Collecting information and preparing documents from templates
  • Prepare documents for publication (releases, radiation confirmations, etc.)
  • Prepare billing for files
  • Make appointments
  • Perform filing
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the legal field, in a similar position
  • Diploma in legal secretarial studies (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Procardex software (an asset)
  • Very good level of spelling and grammar
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English (the person will be required to serve and interact with an 85% English-speaking clientele)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good knowledge of Kofax/Nuance PDF

Family Law Lawyer (2 to 5 years of experience)

We are currently looking for a family law lawyer with 2 to 5 years of experience.

The candidate we are seeking will work independently on specific mandates and in conjunction with other partners and associates of our dynamic and fast-paced team in files related to family law, human rights and estates.

Senior Corporate Paralegal

We are currently looking for a Corporate Paralegal with more than 6 years of experience.

The candidate will be able to draft a variety of corporate documents (incorporations, organizations, amendments of articles, dissolutions, share transactions, extra-provincial registrations and amalgamations) and perform various other transactions, such as due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions. The person will also be in charge of the maintenance of minute books for clients and will assist lawyers in transactions.

The candidate will have a DEC in Paralegal Technology or equivalent.  In addition to having excellent organizational skills, the candidate will be known for his/her attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and strong client relation skills. Finally, the person will be fluent in written and spoken French and English (the person will be required to serve and interact with an 85% English-speaking clientele).

We are presently looking for a commercial litigation lawyer with 5 to 10 years of experience.

The candidate we are seeking will work independently on specific mandates or in conjunction with other partners and associates of our dynamic and fast paced commercial litigation team, relating to files involving shareholder remedies and commercial disputes, injunctions and extraordinary recourses, real estate litigation, estates and trusts litigation as well as construction litigation. The person will meet directly with clients, analyze files and develop strategies, draft opinions, reports and proceedings and will frequently be called upon also plead before the courts.

The ideal candidate will have excellent pleading and negotiation skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Also, the person will be fluent in written and spoken French and English (the person will be required to serve and interact with an 85% English-speaking clientele).
