Main responsibilities:

 Provide support to our users, through verbal and written communications in French and English

  • Respond to telephone calls, e-mails and other requests for technical assistance in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate courteous and professional behavior
  • Demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure satisfactory and timely resolution
  • Ensure that all requests for assistance are properly recorded and managed in the ticketing system, including decisions and actions taken to find a satisfactory solution
  • Ensure the protection and integrity of IT systems
  • Manage, deploy and support computers, peripherals, software, printers, telephony, mobile devices and other technologies
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions, knowledge base articles and documentation for end-users and IT agents
  • Promptly forward tickets to appropriate teams or individuals
  • Maintain and update inventory and receipts for all end-user hardware.

  • You must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekends and holidays.

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 2 or more years of professional experience in this field
  • Degree in computer/networking or related field
  • Microsoft certifications or other certifications in the field such as A+, N+, ITIL are considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Autonomous, passionate about information technology and able to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Willingness to express and share ideas with the team
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange account management, hardware and software troubleshooting, VOIP/telephony support, mobile device support, networked multifunction printer maintenance, audiovisual/meeting/collaboration systems support and IT service tools.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Knowledge of supporting various client-side software such as Microsoft 365 Apps, MS Teams (including room systems and phone system)
  • Technical and non-technical writing of end-user communications and articles for all technologies supported by the IT Support team.

Legal Assistant to Corporate Paralegals

Main responsibilities:

• Assist the paralegals with their annual maintenance (preparation and filing of the annual resolutions, prepare and file Quebec annual updating declarations and Federal annual returns)
• Assist the paralegals with closing binders
• Conduct simple searches at the Quebec enterprise registrar and Corporations Canada
• Obtain various documents from the public registries, including but not limited to certificate of attestation and compliance
• Handle administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, printing, scanning of various documents and filing of documents in the physical minute books
• Maintain the electronic version and physical minute books
• Ensure a smooth administrative organization of the paralegals in the team
• Communicate with different parties to ensure all necessary documents have been provided (accountants, lawyers, government authorities)
• Provide backup coverage in the absence of other legal assistants to corporate paralegals
• Perform other related duties

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

• 2-5 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in Corporate Law
• Diploma in legal secretarial studies (an asset)
• Perfectly bilingual (French and English)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and Enact (an asset)

The candidate we are seeking will work independently on various mandates as well as collaboratively in conjunction with other partners and associates of our experienced and dynamic commercial law team on files in a variety of industries, relating to financing, real estate, private M & A, leasing and intellectual property. In addition to strong negotiating skills, the candidate should have excellent drafting abilities and will be called upon to provide analysis, interpretation and critique on a broad scope of commercial agreements.

Estate planning Lawyer or Notary (3 to 5 years and 5 to 7 years of experience)

Our tax and estate planning department, comprised of over twenty lawyers, continues to grow. We are presently looking for a lawyer or a notary (2 positions) with 3 to 5 years and with 5 to 7 years of experience.

 

The candidate we are seeking will be involved in the drafting of wills, mandates and trusts, in preparing and implementing post-mortem tax planning, as well as administering and liquidating estates.
