General presentation
Born in Montreal and son of the late John M. Schlesinger, QC, with whom he was in partnership from 1970 to 1995, Frank Schlesinger’s practice has been very broad. His attitude is solution-oriented with a hands-on approach to each file. He is also a private pilot. He was also a municipal court judge for 30 years.
His practice is quite varied and mainly focuses on the following areas:
- A trademark agent, dealing in intellectual property, including Internet law, computer software, and all related fields such as distribution agreements, websites, as well as trademarks, copyrights, and similar matters
- Real estate matters, including construction, hypothecs, commercial leasing, both on behalf of landlords and tenants, and acquisition and disposition of real estate
- Wills, mandates in case of incapacity, and trusts
- Litigation, especially in the field of aircraft and aviation matters, and related insurance matters
- Commercial and corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, shareholders’ agreements, and disputes
- Labour matters (non-union related), including wrongful dismissal, employment agreements, and disputes
