Shortly after his call to the Bar in 2008, Eli Kano co-founded his own firm with the goal of offering a broad range of services to his business clientele. During his nearly 13 years of practicing law within the firm, he established close ties with various cultural and business communities in Montréal, with the aim of raising their awareness of the subtleties of Québec law and helping them become key players on the local scene. Eli’s practice has provided him with extensive knowledge of immigration law as well as civil and commercial law, areas in which he is frequently called upon to advise and represent his clients in their different endeavors before all administrative and judicial bodies.
Eli specializes in civil and commercial litigation and has valuable experience as a litigator in real estate, shareholder disputes and contractual litigation. Over the years, he has developed an invaluable expertise and an interest in latent defects matters.
He understands the need to be an added value for his clients and makes sure to contribute positively to their projects and to overcome legal challenges. His communication skills allow him to better grasp his clients’ concerns and to formulate negotiated solutions that align with their true needs and objectives.
Eli is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Order of Saint Lazarus, a charitable organization whose primary mission is to support the palliative care facilities in Canada.
He was frequently invited to the Middle East Radio to discuss legal matters in order to help Montréal’s Arabic-speaking community demystify the judicial system and become familiar with Canadian and Québec law.
Eli has participated in several editions of the Salon VISEZ DROIT organized by the Bar of Montréal.
