General presentation

Carolyn is a dynamic and compassionate litigator who practices in fertility, family, and civil law.  She also assists her colleagues in commercial litigation. Carolyn joined our team in 2021 as a lawyer.

In 2016, she was awarded the prestigious Brenda Gewurz Scholarship for Feminist Leadership in the scholarship’s inaugural year.

From a young age, Carolyn was drawn to the legal profession because she felt an innate need to advocate for what was just. She is creative in her argumentation, as well as persuasive and convincing in her delivery. She also adores legal writing and has written several blog posts about legal concepts in a way that is intelligible to non-lawyers. Carolyn has appeared numerous times before the Court of Quebec and the Superior Court.

While at McGill University, Carolyn completed a Bachelor’s in Social Work, and the joint Bachelor of Civil Law, Bachelor of Common Law, and Master of Social Work program. This joint program allowed her to learn practical skills in interrogation, and how to facilitate communication and negotiation when parties are in conflict. This ability has imbued Carolyn’s legal practice as she excels in communicating effectively and advocating for the needs and interests of her clients.

Her practice in litigation includes:

  • Fertility law
  • Family law
  • Contract law
  • Civil liability
