Spiegel Sohmer is thrilled to welcome the following professionals who have recently joined the firm and will significantly contribute to our firm’s impressive growth:

Alexandre Brocherieux (Bar 2019)

Alexandre joined our business and real estate law group, drawing on his knowledge of municipal and administrative law. Dynamic, efficient and attentive, Alexandre responds to the needs of clients in a pragmatic and diligent manner. Prior to joining Spiegel Sohmer, Alexandre was an articling student and then an associate in a national firm in Montreal.

Charles Côté-De Lagrave (Bar 2020)

Charles manages each file efficiently and proactively. He is constantly on the lookout for new developments and trends in the field of law. He argues each case in a determined manner, but will not hesitate to take the path of alternative dispute resolution. Charles understands the importance of providing quality customer service and makes it his priority. Prior to joining Spiegel Sohmer, Charles worked in a boutique law firm where he practiced civil and commercial litigation.

Jennifer Katsaros (Chambre des notaires du Québec 2016)

Jennifer Katsaros joined the Spiegel Sohmer team as a member of the taxation department. Her practice focuses on estate planning and settlement, non-contentious procedures, drafting wills, trusts, protection mandates, marriage contracts and common law union agreements and the institution of regimes of protective supervision for incapacitated persons. With a focus on transparency, efficiency, and quality, Jennifer advises heirs, liquidators, and trustees throughout the estate settlement processes, assisting or representing clients when acting during their administration. Prior to Spiegel Sohmer, Jennifer owned and operated her own successful notarial practice for several years.

Pierre François McNicolls (Bar 2011)

Pierre François McNicolls has over 10 years of experience as a trial lawyer. His practice deals with every aspect of litigation, such as civil law, commercial law, administrative law, private international law, and bankruptcy and insolvency law. He pleads regularly before all of Quebec’s civil tribunals. He also has a vast experience in handling requests for urgent and extraordinary remedies. Known and appreciated for his creativity, he regularly handles cases that call for innovative strategies. His versatility also allows him to provide his clients with practical and tailored solutions that focus on results and effective dispute resolution. Prior to joining Spiegel Sohmer, Pierre François was a trial lawyer at an important Montreal law firm for several years.

Mathieu Papineau (Bar 2020)

Mathieu joined our team in 2018 as a law student and then completed his articling. Mathieu enjoys analyzing and unravelling complex legal issues, while remaining attentive to the needs of his clients in order to maintain a complete vision of the case and achieve the most satisfying result. During his studies, Mathieu completed an internship at the Superior Court of Quebec with the Honourable Benoît Moore, now judge at the Court of Appeal of Quebec.
