September 2020, the Canada Revenue Agency resumes collection activities

Sep 18th, 2020

By Frédéric Delisle

The Canada Revenue Agency (the "CRA"), through a press release issued on September 17, 2020, updated its list of activities carried out. Said activities had been reduced to ease the burden on Canadian taxpayers in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, several of the Agency's activities have been on hold for several weeks and even months now, including the vast majority of audit activities.

However, according to the press release available here, activities that will have a direct impact on the financial capacities of Canadian taxpayers will now resume. One example is the resumption of collection activities.
