Nicolas Simard is a member of the firm's tax department. He has a vast experience in every area of tax litigation (income tax and commodity taxes) and with respect to taxpayer relief applications.
Nicolas joined the firm in 2011. He previously practiced tax litigation for Justice Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency for more than nine years. He has successfully argued several taxation matters before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Nicolas also has strong negotiation skills and experience in dealing with tax authorities at every assessment level including the audit, the objection and once the file is before the Court.
