Barry Landy focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He is also experienced in the area of media law. His specific areas of expertise include litigation involving contract disputes, real estate transactions, financing contracts, employment contracts, construction contracts, and partner, shareholder or estate disputes. He has appeared on numerous boards, arbitration panels, all Quebec Courts from the Municipal Court to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

- Barry is a frequent invited speaker on various legal topics. He has published numerous articles and has been active in the Quebec Bar for many years, during which time he had the occasion to sit as a member of the Montreal Bar’s Liaison Committee with both the Superior Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal. He also acted as treasurer for the Montreal Bar and Councillor for the Quebec Bar in 1995-96.
- He also sits on the Bar Disciplinary Committee whch hears ethical complaints against lawyers.
- Barry lectured at McGill University and was also requested by the Quebec Bar to teach several courses when Quebec adopted its new Civil Code in 1994.
