Joshua was born in Poland on August 10, 1937. He holds a private pilot’s license and is a certified aircraft accident investigator since 1976 (University of Southern California Institute of Safety and Business Management).

Joshua is a certified arbitrator with the Arbitrators Institute of Quebec and the Institute of Arbitration and Mediation of Canada. He is also an arbitrator with the International Court of Aviation and Space Arbitration. Me Borenstein is a member of the Association of Insurance Counsel, the Defence Research Institute and the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel.

Joshua holds a Ph.D. in Comparative International Law for his doctoral thesis on toxic waste pollution legislation and case law in Canada and the United States in 1991.
