If you are bright, self-confident and independent, our articling program is perfect for you. Bright, because we would not have hired you otherwise. Self-confident, because you will be required to take a position on an issue and defend it – something you will soon be called to do on a daily basis as an attorney. This is not the firm for wallflowers. Independent, because there is plenty of room for initiative and creative thought. There is no formal rotation system between departments in the firm. You will find your own work from attorneys working in the fields which are of interest to you. However, you will certainly not be abandoned; there are always people available to help you and supervise your work. Remember, though, that in large measure, the success of your articling period will ultimately be your own responsibility.
