The nature of our student/stagiaire program.

Because, unlike many firms, both large and small, we do not offer a pre-packaged, standardized work program.

For university and articling students, most firms require you to work with an assigned mentor, to work within a predetermined training program and to remain within the limits imposed on the degree of responsibility you may enjoy. You don't think so? Ask around; you will be surprised.

At Spiegel Sohmer, we offer something different. Something that may not please everyone, but that meets the needs of those who want more freedom, less restrictions and a chance to show initiative. In return, students must accept the pressure, risks and responsibilities that this degree of freedom implies.

Therefore, we provide no assigned mentor, unless you request one.

We impose no limits, other than your own capacity to learn.

We have no predetermined training programs. This is not school; learning is accomplished by doing.

We do not impose fixed rotations. Take your areas of interest and our needs, mix them together and you get a personalized “stage”, the likes of which you will not find elsewhere.

In a nutshell, no two “stages” are ever the same.
